ReCycling Views Of Benene
ReCycling Views of Benene is a rhythm game, where the monkey Lab is riding his Bike around Mount Benene. While he is enjoying the view, his eye picks up trash scattered across the landscape. So he is riding his bike trying to pick up as many trash as possible.
For best player experience download the latest version (v1.1).
HOW TO PLAY: The game has two main mechanics:
- To drive forward, push the SPACE bar with the beat. The game has 130 beats per minute in normal mode, hence the SPACE bar has to be pushed slightly faster than 2 times per second. The modes easy, hard and nightmare have 97.5, 195 and 260 bpm.
- While driving the player can collect trash laying all over the landscape. The Player should use a mouse or touchsceen to collect trash.
The game at hand was designed and implemented as part of the Monkey Jam 2024 by Members of the GamesLab at Paderborn University.
BUGS and UPDATES:
Version 1.1 Fixes:
- Pause menu does not restart sound as intended if the player uses the SPACE bar - fixed
- Visual interface on when to push the drum - added
- Collecting the Easteregg will break the nightmare mode - fixed
- Some wrong fonts - fixed
Known Issues:
- Drums activate with slight delay - fix still in work
